Aims and Objectives

Wythall Countryside Carers is a conservation group which was formed in 1987. The members are volunteers who are concerned for the quality of our local environment and are prepared to give up one Saturday morning a month to help with a conservation project. We exist to :

• maintain and care for the green spaces in Wythall.
• ensure that public footpaths and bridleways are kept open and in good order.
• build and replace stiles,bridges and gates.
• plant native trees and plants.
• lay hedges.

  We work in conjunction with the local parish council, the County Council and the Urban Fringe Countryside Action Project.

  We hope with this web site:

• to share information and ideas with other like minded organisations.
• to attract new members living in the locality of Wythall.
• to inspire others to start a similar group in their own area.

Organisation

We meet for tasks on the 3rd Saturday of each month and work from 9.30 am to about 12.30 pm.

We meet at 9.15am at Wythall Cemetery or 9.30am wherever we are working.

We organise the tasks to provide a variety of work each month.

Worcestershire Wildlife Week

We are involved in and take part in events and organise local walks to places of interest.

This is produced every 2 months for members with up to date information on local issues.
